By Monique Sporn for The Island Connection
Well-known exhibiting and teaching artist Tina Mayland will give a two-hour art class called “Step up Your Painting Results” on March 7, 2017, at the Seabrook Island Lake House (1:00-3:00 p.m.; Eagle’s Nest studio). Self-improvement is the spice of life, and all artists strive to broaden their skills and refine their techniques. Tina will demonstrate discussion topics live and reveal how to improve each painting…. even before the artist puts paint to canvas. Participants are encouraged to bring a photograph which they are preparing to paint.
Tina Mayland’s artwork is shown locally at the Wells Gallery at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island and in downtown Charleston at Spencer Art Gallery on 55 Broad Street. Tina is the exclusive teacher of Oil Painting Lessons for Kiawah Island Golf Resort. More information on these lessons can be found at TinaMaylandArt.com under the Workshops tab. Tina is also the author of two art books: “A Lowcountry Life” and “The Six Commandments of Painting: The Shalt-Nots That Will Save Your Artwork.”
Tina’s class is free to Seabrook Island Artist Guild (SIAG) members and their guests, but space is limited. Registration is required with Gary Kunkelman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
