The Rural Mission on Johns Island is very appreciative of a recent grant from the Town of Kiawah Island in the amount of $15,000 to help support the Misson’s outreach programs to needy residents and migrants of the neighboring Sea Islands. The Mission has been overwhelmed recently with requests for help, especially for housing repairs. Rural Mission has also very gratefully seen a significant increase in volunteers, especially young people in church mission groups. These greatly-appreciated funds will make a real difference in supporting the Mission’s work and ministry.

Rural Mission provides a place where all can serve and experience the fulfillment of helping others in need. If you want to learn more or wish to help, please go to www.ruralmission.org or call the Mission at 768-1720. The Mission is also on Facebook where you can follow week-to-week progress on mission projects and needs.
