Here’s Kiawah’s write-up:

Go on an All-American Vacation: Kiawah Island, South Carolina. A 45-minute drive south of Charleston, the Sanctuary Kiawah Island Golf Resort offers more than pristine beaches, golf courses, a spa, and three pools—it also has a comprehensive kids’ program, with everything from glassmaking and tie-dyeing to guided nature hikes, fly-fishing lessons, and archery. Off property, there’s plenty to lure travelers, such as the Holy City Harbor Cruise, which takes guests into Charleston’s port to see where pirates were hanged and the first shots of the Civil War were fired. Had enough history? Just enjoy the beach and make a sandcastle before the tide comes in.”
