Staff Report for The Island Connection
Keep Charleston Beautiful is encouraging the Lowcountry to drop off their collected wine bottle corks to be sent off to ReCORK. ReCORK is a company that accepts natural cork for recycling.
These are turned into things like shoe soles, flooring and surfboards.
Melissa Newhall, a Town resident, has volunteered to collect and transport all recycled wine bottle corks on the island. For drop-off details, contact Newhall at splapr12@gmail.com.
