By Martha Zink for The Island Connection
On Dec.14, the Kiawah Island Garden Club hosted members of the Seabrook Island Home and Garden Club for a brunch and fashion show. The event was held at the Sandcastle, which provided ocean views as the backdrop for the show.
The models were members of the Kiawah Island Garden Club who were wearing fashions provided by Affordables on Folly Rd. Also showcased was handmade jewelry by Gail Wamboldt of Mount Pleasant, which perfectly accessorized the clothing. The music was provided by Glenn Brown, “The Music Man.”
Co-chairs for the event were Jacki Byer and Joan Collar who created not only the delicious menu but also presented it in a beautiful and whimsical way.
The next event for the Kiawah Island Garden Club will be on Jan. 14 at The Sandcastle where members can meet for refreshments at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Floral Design demonstration.
