Bishop Gadsden Opens Gadsden Glen Center For Health And Rehab

On May 25, Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community held a dedication and grand opening for Gadsden Glen Center for Health and Rehab. 

The building is 156,000 gross square feet and features the following: 

• 32 Memory Support Residences – Arcadia Community

 • Two neighborhoods with 16 residents in each 

• 64 Long Term Skilled Care – Estes Community 

• Four neighborhoods of 16 residents 

• 32 Short Term Skilled Post-Acute Rehab – Christie Family Rehab Center 

• Two neighborhoods of 16 residents 

Building Standouts 

• A light-filled atrium will welcome all residents and guests. 

• In addition to the dining areas customized for rehab, skilled care, and memory support areas, a bistro will offer Starbucks coffee and tea, as well as bottled items, and locally crafted salads, sandwiches, and in house baked goods. 

• Residences have been designed around the floor-to-ceiling windows that will allow for the maximum interior light. 

• Estes Community Skilled Nursing Suites will welcome residents with 353 square feet 

• There will be a distinct lounge area in the skilled nursing rooms separate from the bedroom, allowing for opportunities for family and friends to spend time together. 

• Offering the space to now welcome outside individuals, patients seeking short or long-term rehabilitative services will enjoy private rooms featuring all the amenities of the resident rooms. The Christie Rehab Center rooms welcome you with a hospitality focus – providing the important support one needs to heal and leave stronger than before. 

• Rehab rooms will offer a refreshment station.

 • Dining will be available either in-room or in an intimate dining room. 

• An innovative gym will feature equipment and simulation areas to elevate the rehab experience. 

o With an experienced clinical and therapy team, the Christie Rehab Center will provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy, providing a cohesive plan of care for all patients. 

• Team members of Bishop Gadsden will enjoy a well-planned employee cafe and lounge, featuring showers and a mothers’ nursing room.
