Sea Island Habitat for Humanity remains dedicated to building affordable housing in the Lowcountry. As of June 15, our ReStore at 3304 Maybank Highway is open to shoppers. We have taken necessary precautions to ensure their safety, including providing masks and hand sanitizer, and we will be allowing only 30 shoppers in the store at one time.
Sea Island Habitat is also back on the job site building affordable housing on Johns Island. Right now, we are working only with small groups of staff and partner families and have not yet allowed volunteers. The building team is taking care to wear masks even in the hot sun, maintaining distance and limiting tool sharing where possible. They are working very hard to push our mission forward.
We have rescheduled our annual golf tournament for Sept. 15 at Cassique.
We are still holding an auction and fundraiser on Oct. 11 at the Seabrook Clubhouse, and we have rescheduled our annual Women Build for Nov. 7 through 14 on Johns Island.
We are always accepting donations at SeaIslandHabitat.org donate, and we deeply appreciate the partnership and support of our local community.
