The Sandcastle’s Independence Day Bash treated kids of all ages to an afternoon of music, fun and games, island style. The annual poolside parade was a hit as children of all ages marched around the pool waving clappers, sparkle wands and of course, American flags. Musician Dave Berry played a medley of patriotic songs and onlookers sang along to favorites such as “Yankee Doodle Dandy” and “God Bless America”. Under the pavilion, hungry pool-goers enjoyed a delicious home-style barbeque buffet while Dave performed a selection of upbeat favorites. The day wrapped up with a piñata burst as kids took a whack piñata and then scrambled for a handful of the ensuing candy downpour. Just another day of fun in the sun at the Sandcastle!
