30 Years Of Service

Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach will celebrate its 30th anniversary of service to the community with an oyster roast Sept. 21.

The event will also include barbecue and sides, local beer, wine and live music, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1684 Brownswood Road on Johns Island.

In addition, attendees will be able to buy raffle tickets for the chance to win Image 43 from the Porgy and Bess series by local artist Jonathan Green.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for children 4 to 12. There is no charge for kids 3 and under.

Parking will be available at St. Johns High School, with shuttles running from there to the event.

For almost 30 years, Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach has provided education, health and community outreach services to those in need in James, Johns and Wadmalaw islands and Neighborhood House, which serves the Eastside community of downtown Charleston.
