WaterProof is a volunteer 501c3 organization of members of the Seabrook, Bohicket and Kiawah communities that has been giving free water safety and swimming instruction to kindergartners and first graders of local schools for the last 6 years.

This year’s 2-week, morning, teaching program called “WaterWise” will run May 14 – 25.

Volunteers are needed to help with swim lessons.

WaterProof provides swim lesson training and certification. SLED background checks and youth protection training will be also provided. Lessons take place at the pool of the Boy Scout Camp “Ho Non Wa” on Wadmalaw Island and carpooling is recommended.

This is a fun and rewarding way to give back to our community. If interested please contact Derek Fyfe at Derekfyfe@
