New Member Orientation At Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club

Four new exchange members participated in an orientation meeting led by Bruce Van Voorhis, Membership Committee Chair, on Wednesday, April 19, at the Seabrook Island Club. An overview of the National Exchange Club’s mission, motto and programs of service were shared.

Primary committee chairpersons explained committee goals of serving and benefiting our local communities and the need for volunteer resources:

Rob Savin, Community Service- Health

Jerry Stephens, Youth & Education

Joe Bauer, Child Abuse Prevention

Bob Leggett & Bruce Van Voorhis, Handbook & Grants

New members were provided with a listing of recent grants provided to over thirty non-profit organizations by the exchange chapter and how these funds impact the lives of many individuals in need on our islands. In addition, Larry Blasch, President, Charlton Davis, Past President and Bob Leggett, Future President, spoke on Americanism activities, club functions and other committee needs rounding out this pre-dinner introduction to the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club’s focus, energies and attention to support the local community.
