Tina Mayland will be the featured artist at the Seabrook Island Lake House during the month of November. Her “Petite Paintings” exhibit will offer art lovers a selection of smaller works just in time for the holidays. Mayland, a well-known and respected member of the art scene in Charleston, studied oils and pastels domestically and in France, England, Italy and the Caribbean under numerous regionally and nationally known artists. She served on the Board of Directors of the Charleston Artist Guild for several years and is a member of the Seabrook Island Artist Guild. Mayland’s artwork is represented by the Wells Gallery at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island and at the Spencer Art Gallery in Charleston. Her paintings can also be seen at the Hang It Up Gallery in Hartwell, GA. Mayland is also the exclusive painting instructor for the Kiawah Island Golf Resort and is the author of “The Six Commandments of Painting: The Shalt-Nots That Will Save Your Artwork.” She won 3rd place in the People’s Choice Art Show, sponsored by First Federal Bank.
